Wood lacquer, also known as "lacquer," refers to a type of resin lacquer used on wood products. It's particularly important in architectural decoration applications, such as furniture and office supplies. Given its widespread application, foaming has naturally become a concern for manufacturers and installers. Because foaming directly impacts the aesthetics and finish of a finish, adding a defoamer for wood lacquer can easily and directly address the foaming issue. However, do you understand the causes of foaming in wood lacquer?

    Anti foamer for Wood Lacquer

Causes of bubbling in wood lacquer
The raw materials contain foaming substances or an excessive amount of surfactant.
The manufacturer fails to properly seal the wood lacquer during packaging. This allows moisture to be absorbed on rainy days, increasing the water content of water-based wood lacquer. When applied to the paint, if the ambient temperature is high, the paint will easily absorb water, causing foaming.
If workers fail to pay attention to the ambient temperature and the dryness of the wood during application, foaming can occur.
During the application process, many paint workers often overlook moisture on their tools, such as moisture trapped in the air compressor and pipes during spraying. This can also cause foaming.

Dangers of foaming in wood paint
Foam forms during mixing with other surfactants, causing volume expansion and reducing the efficiency of mixing equipment.
Foam limits mixing speed, prolonging mixing time and preventing fillers and dyes from being fully wetted.
Foaming can prevent the packaging drum from being fully filled. As the foam gradually disappears, the weight of the drum becomes uneven, disrupting continuous packaging.
Long-lasting foaming can cause poor flowability, surface defects, unevenness, and cracking during film formation during application.
When applying paint by spraying, rolling, or screen printing, internal bubbles can occur, affecting product quality.

Why use a defoamer for wood paint?
From production to packaging to application, there are many reasons for foaming in wood paint. Even the slightest carelessness can lead to foaming and hindering application. A defoamer for wood paint can effectively resolve this foaming problem, avoiding unnecessary trouble.
