    Analysis of the causes of foaming

    When the printing is started, the ink has not run evenly, and the temperature cannot meet the requirements of the ink to run evenly, especially on a high-speed machine, and the printing pressure is large, which increases the peeling tension between the ink and the paper, and the cardboard foams and delaminates. At this time, only add a little dampening solution viscosity reducer to the ink roller, and clean the surface of the blanket without residual ink or gasoline. In winter or when the temperature is low, the ink is heated to reduce the cohesion of the ink and increase the fluidity of the ink.

    The unevenness of the three cylinders of the printing press causes the rubber blanket to lose its elasticity quickly and increase the pressure. The uneven printing surface of the blanket and padding can only increase the printing pressure to make up the lower part of the rubber. more stressful than normal. The aging of the surface of the blanket cannot transfer the imprint well, and the ink absorption of the surface decreases, and the paper slips on the surface of the blanket. At this time, the pressure is increased to make the paper layer and foam.

    In the case of solid printing and large ink volume, because the printing effect should be solid and flat, and the relative printing pressure is slightly increased, the interlayer strength of the paper is required to be high. There are also higher requirements for the fountain solution: the ink has less viscosity but good transferability, and the strong coloring force uses a small amount of ink to achieve a flat effect. This reduces foaming and delamination.

    Analysis of the reasons for papermaking

    • Insufficient bonding strength between layers. This phenomenon is mainly caused by improper control of beating process indicators during beating and poor quality of starch between layers.
    • Improper control of the temperature curve of the dryer, too fast drying, too fast water release between layers, resulting in foaming.

    • Printing surface defects and difficulties in production and printing are difficult.

    Analysis of defoamer scheme

    The ink defoamer can reduce the local surface tension of the foam and cause the foam to burst. The origin of this mechanism is that higher alcohol or vegetable oil is sprinkled on the foam, when it dissolves into the foam liquid, it will significantly reduce the surface tension there. Because these substances are generally less soluble in water, the reduction in surface tension is localized to the foam, with little change in surface tension around the foam. The portion with reduced surface tension is strongly pulled around, stretched, and finally ruptured.

    The ink defoamer can destroy the elasticity of the film and cause the bubbles to burst. When the defoamer is added to the foam system, it will diffuse to the gas-liquid interface, making it difficult for the surfactant with foam stabilization to restore the elasticity of the film.

    The ink defoamer JP-A can promote the liquid film to drain, thus causing the bubbles to burst. The rate of foam drainage can reflect the stability of the foam, and adding a substance that accelerates the foam drainage can also play a role in defoaming.
